The Shaver Outlet cutter block fits my Braun 2000 shaver and it works. The cutter block mounting pins are the same diameter as the Braun original (0.038") but the clearance space between the pins is 0.533" on the Braun original and 0.528" on the Shaver Outlet cutter. This sounds like a minuscule difference but the way the cutter mounts on the shaver, this 0.005" difference makes a huge difference in the security of the cutter mounting. Sometimes the cutter comes off if I just tap it with the screen as I remove the screen for cleaning and the looser fit to the mounting adapter could contribute to increased mounting adapter wear. This could be random variation in manufacturing but I suspect it is more likely a slight error in specifications. If this was the only cutter available, I would buy it again but I found another source that supplies cutters with a pin spacing closer to the Braun original and a a lower price. Bought my Braun 5372 in Thailand in 1978 when on a job overthere and it has been serving me well, daily, all over the world. But the last-purchased cutter really did not cut very well anymore and no more cutters to be found in Europe where I live, after retirement some 20 years ago. I have 2 quality Foil Screen Razors from Germany, around 30 plus years old that will probably run forever but the foils and cutters need replaced periodically.
Each year it gets harder to find after market parts that match up with the original body.
I am always sure the parts won't fit but Shaver Outlet has that covered also, perfect fit just like OEM parts.

Once again, Shaver Outlet had the parts I needed to keep my aging Braun shaver going. The new cutter restored the quick, smooth shaves that the dull cutter could not.

My Braun is almost 40 years old and parts are absolutely not available in NZ. Despite trying many alternative razors over the years with the Braun relegated to a" back up at the beach" it always gave me the best and quickest shave. Shaveroutlet identified that the razor had American parts, rather than the European parts it should in theory have had. That parts from a later model would fit, shipped them very quickly at a good price and I believe it is working better than ever. (Posted on 11/16/2014)
