I compared this cutter carefully with the original Braun one that came on the shaver. It is not exactly the same-- the cutting blades and some of the various structural parts are thinner materials. In addition, the shape of the bars that catch the snap fit attachment on the shaver was just slightly different, resulting in a challenging fit until thoroughly worked in. Cutting was terrible the first few uses, but got much better with time. Overall quite satisfactory now, and vastly better than the old worn out cutter. (Posted on 1/3/2016)
