It is a new replacement otherwise unavailable from Braun. But it’s still gray plastic instead of black so it gives an unnecessarily aftermarket look to the item. And it does not stay securely to the body of the shaver. The replacement holder frame can be easily pulled off without pressing the release button. Cannot say if that is due to the part, or due to age of the shaver. At least mold the frame in black plastic like the original. I’m probably not the first to comment on this. But where else will you find replacements, so for that it’s a positive review.
