This is a replacement for the original that came with my Series 9 Shaver in 2018. Original quit pumping cleaning fluid and so I purchased this replacement. I would say it works as well as the original and sure beats cleaning the shaver by hand.

It works, but I used to be able to shave 6 times before it would get to the third light making me “clean” the Shaver. Now after 2 shaves, its telling me to clean...and if you dont it shuts down. Things today are made to break (Posted on 8/24/2022)

If your series 9 did not come with a clean & charge station don't buy one, it will not work. There is a chip built into only models that came with the C&C station. (Posted on 11/21/2019)

Very happy. This is the original base for the Series 9 that I have (9290cc). I checked the numbers on both the old unit I have and this unit. Has a dryer. The charging contacts are horizontal, not slanted, just like the Series 9 base I replaced. The picture attached to this item is an older model charging base, not the one that ships, which is the newer model. (Posted on 6/13/2019)

I've been a Braun Fan for 35 years, long before P&G bought the company and did away with the original head and foil much to the dismay of Braun Pulsonic fans. However, I think the series 9 shows great promise and cuts very well albeit the heads don't seem to last very long and in my case neither did the base - about one year.

I was concerned the replacement base would be problematic and read in some reviews there was no dryer. Mine works beautifully and certainly does have the dryer it blows a steady stream of gentle air from the small fan and dries the foil and cutter block - if some folks are expecting heat that's never been an element of this shaver.

I have found that cleaning out the base when it needs it, especially unclogging the tiny holes with a toothpick or Q-Tip is imperative for outstanding performance.

That said, this base does a superb job, these folks ship fast and secure and provide high quality OEM parts at unbeatable prices. Thanks! (Posted on 6/3/2019)
