I got this RQ12+ in April 2016 as a replacement for the RQ10 head for my Philips Norelco arcitec 1050x, since the RQ10 head seems to be discontinued (or very expensive), and this is the recommended replacement that fits that razor body. Here’s my take:
The Good. I like the razor head better than the RQ10. This one flexes better to follow the contours of my face, and while the blade is sharp, cuts just as well. Once I figured it out, I also like the way it cleans better than the RQ10.

The Bad. The package came with no instructions, and since this is a different style head than the RQ10, I could not tell how to clean it. I am not swift at the internet, so it took me a half hour or more wandering through the Philips Norelco website to figure out how to take apart the razor and clean it. It turns out you just pull the top off the head (the bottom stays on the razor) and you can run water through the blades and wash out (and run your little finger in the trough to swish out) the clippings. Also, the package did not come with the plastic “tool” to disassemble the foils and blades for “weekly” cleaning. Once I figured out what I was supposed to do, it turned out to be pretty easy to just do it with my fingers (though people with strong hands with wide fingers might find it impossible), as long as you watch closely where the guide tabs go and don’t force things.

The Ugly. The foils have little discs in the middle. After about 2 weeks, one of them popped off while I was rinsing the razor. I managed to catch it before it went down the drain, and super-glued it back in. Sometime in the next few weeks, that disc and another popped off while I was rinsing the head, and I did not catch them. The razor is less comfortable without them. Only one of the center discs remains. Finally, I think the blade stayed pretty sharp for about 6 months. I am now at the end of 8 months, and am more than ready to find some replacements, as it takes a lot of stretching the skin and repeated passes to get a close shave.

A problem Ihad with a previous shacer heads was the small round pieces in the center of each cutter fell off causing it to pull the whiskers to pull. So far that has not happened with the new head. Price was good. . (Posted on 12/15/2016)

I have been using this for 2 weeks and it is as good as the original blade assembly that came with the shaver. I would highly recomend buying this over the brand name replaclement.
It would be great if they sent an instruction sheet for cleaning the heads that shows how to separate the heads from the assembly. Not a big deal once you do it but it could save a bit of frustration. The shave is very smooth and definitely does NOT require a lot of hard pushing on the skin.
