Does cut not as close as the old Remington did. But it did not hold hold up. I guess maybe these Chinese will get better as they make more, so for now I am buying the least expense one and if every buyer did that, I think they would put more to their purpose and not lights and looks. I purchased aWahl 3-1 wet/dry personal ear, nose, and blow hair trimmer;
I received it with a battery and the product did not work so I purchased a new battery assuming the other one may have been bad the product still did not work.
upon contacting the customer service personnel I was advised I could return the product and a new one would be sent.
I advised her until I drove 10 miles each way to my local post office and spent the money on postage to return the product, I'm more than likely could find one in a store that worked.
I guess I will soon look for one of the local store to ensure that it works.

I purchased the Wahl because I've had good luck with one of their shavers. My old trimmer(different brand) had gotten tired....found myself checking the batteries rather often and they always checked out OK. So it was time for the new generation of trimmer.

The Wahl performs very well....good power and comfort with a nice selection of accessory heads for different trimming jobs. Highly recommended. (Posted on 5/28/2014)

I bought a cheap one of these before and it worked ok. But when you have the best one in your hand it is a worthwhile difference. My mom used to cut my hair more than 40 years ago with a Wahl clipper, so I was pretty confident this one would be the best one. the price was a little bit more than some of them, but I wanted the best one in this case. There are three different heads and as it turns out, I mostly or even exclusively like the small straight horizontal trimmer. Not the round one, and not the vertical one. So if you want to save a buck and get just one trimmer head, yeah, you can probably do everything with one of the straight trimmers and I think the horizontal one is more accessible and easy to maneuver cutting nose hairs and ear hairs. if you're a forest ranger and don't meet people for months at a time it might not matter that much, but if you teach piano and the kids remind you when your hairs are sticking out of your nose... you might want to use one of these.
Very durable construction and high speed motor keeps the blades moving without any hesitation. Blades are sharp and cut through everything on contact.
