I have been using Wahl products for over 40 years when I purchased their red foil shaver. I've been using the bump free version for years. So I decided to purchased a different version via Amazon. The 1st wouldn't hold a charge the 1st week I used it
Amazon replaced it. 2nd 1 wouldn't hold a charge & I wasn't able to plug in a wall socket (no play on word's) & shave while charging, as the instructions suggest. Forwarded it to the Wahl repair center, same thing happened again...I will not be purchasing Wahl again. (Posted on 3/4/2023)

I've owned other Wahl foil shavers and this one is every bit as good at a close, comfortable shave. Having the cord/cordless feature makes it so much more usable and reliable. Having to sacrifice the pop-up trimmer to get the cord/cordless feature is not what I consider optimal. Wahl makes plenty of other, trimmers to complement this shaver so when I'm home, I just grab a trimmer and get it done but the need to pack an extra trimmer for a 1-3 night business trip is cause for a minor complaint.
