I've had the Wahl for longer than I can remember. It still works perfectly; however, the original trimmer comb broke. I ordered 2 replacement combs from Shaveroutlet.com so I would have a replacement on-hand if needed. Shaveroutlet.com had the best total price including the extra cost of shipping ("free shipping" isn't always free). The fit is perfect and it works as intended. Excellent service and fast delivery. I bought a Wahl Shaver about 4-5 years ago and really like it. It came with a few shaving heads and plastic attachments that can be changed depending on what area you are shaving. At the time, I chose to use the 5-position guide that attaches to the standard shaving head. It offers the best flexibility when adjusting the desired length for shaving your beard or mustache, without having to switch out the shaving heads. I just purchased 2 replacement 5-position guides to replace the one that I recently damaged accidentally. At least I'll have a spare one in case I accidentally damage or lose the current one. One of these came with my trimmer and I found it very useful. But the replacement was nearly impossible to move. However, after I managed to 'break' the slide loose, put it on the trimmer, and worked it back and forth for half hour while watching TV, it loosened up pretty well. Note it has 5/16" (9mm) wide unlock lever on the top sliding part. This has to be depressed well while breaking in. As a plastic engineer, this indicates poor molding or poor de-burring.

My impression is that the parts originally supplied with the Wahl trimmer (eg 9854) had much better mfg/QA than the replacement. (Posted on 12/18/2020)

I ordered a guide for my Wahl trimmer. At first I ordered an incorrect part but upon calling I got the right part number and reordered. I received credit for the returned item and the correct part arrived soon there after. I would definitely use them again. (Posted on 11/11/2020)
